Medical History
Such was the impression Hippocrates made on medical history such that his name is still very much associated with medicine today–all newly qualified doctors take what is called the “Hippocratic Oath”. Some see Hippocrates as the father of modern medicine despite the fact that he did most of his work only 430 years before the birth of Christ. Very little is known about Hippocrates as a person, but despite that, Plato and Aristotle wrote about him. Indeed, Hippocrates has found fame in medical history.
