Don’t rant

Posted by editor @ 5:10 pm

One of the worst mistakes you can commit during a medical job interview is to rant about your previous job. If you’re being interviewed for your first job, then all you have to do is to be just the right amount of confident, and answer the questions in the best and most straightforward and clear way that you can.

If you did have a previous job and left under unpleasant circumstances, the last person you need to tell is your interviewer. First off, it’s really not relevant to anything – the ugly details, that is. You interviewer MIGHT ask you some questions that touch on this, but try to answer the questions clearly and don’t go into too much details. You might feel strongly about the subject, but that’s something you tell your friends over beer and chips, but not in an interview. It’s grossly unprofessional.
